Mind/Victim Support | Research Report & Police Good Practice Guide
Design 84 page research report and 24 page summery document on Mental Health and Justice. Design 36pp good practice guide for police dealing with people with mental health issues. Both included infographics, charts and graphs, and needed to combine branding of both Mind and Victim Support with equal weight.
- I was brought in to work on the research report after a previous designer let the client down. So there were severe time constraints: I had just two weeks to design and deliver artwork. I set a schedule to ensure that all stakeholders were available to sign off and comment, put in version control measures and highlighted complicated elements such as footnotes for the proofreader.
- The documents use brand elements from both Victim Support (the orange, use of a losenge for headings, font) and Mind (rough illustrated graphics, sketchy hand-written font).
- Large images from both organisations break up the text.
- Simple graphics make the data meaningful while still being accurate and clear, whether printed in colour or black and white.
